Greta Thunberg

Today is a historic day for climate change! It’s is the third Global School Strike for Climate and it’s set to be the biggest one yet with millions children and adults in every continent (including Antarctica) demanding world leaders for climate action. Next week is the UN Climate Summit in NYC, hence the global school strike today. I encourage you all to learn more about the movement and its founder, Greta Thunberg- a 16 year-old Swede with autism and highly suggest seeing:

1. Her must-watch TED Talk

2. Her address to the UN

3. Her address at the World Economic Forum.

She was recently nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize and was named one of TIME Magazine's most influential people in 2019.

The movement is finally getting media attention which is also unprecedented and a BIG deal in itself. The NY Times this morning looked like this:

and filmed Good Morning America aired this:

It is incredibly remarkable to see young people leas the way to a safe, sustainable future!

Have a great day!
